PAGEANT RULES & COMPETION AGREEMENT Sponsored by the Covington Celebration Group. The purpose of the Covington 4th of July Pageants is to choose representatives from Fountain Co., Warren Co., Montgomery Co., and Vermillion Co. Indiana, to act as hostesses throughout the celebration and to continue to promote the celebration throughout the following year. In addition to the specific duties, to be outlined below, all contestants and award recipients must be of good character and abide by the following: Never have been nor become married during her reign. Not have been nor become pregnant during her reign. Not be caught, accused, or convicted of any unlawful activity. She must at all times conduct herself in a respectable manor worthy of being a role-model to others in the community including adults and peers. Be present for all activities during the 4th of July Celebration. Participate in the Covington 4th of July Parade, Participate in the Covington High School Homecoming Parade, Particpate in the Newport Hill Climb Parade, Particpate in the Heritage Days Parade, & Fulfill any other duties requested by the Celebration Group to promote the celebration. Complete entry form and pay $20 entry fee by the entry deadline and attend practices. Queen Contestants, if you obtain another title during your reign as Miss Covington 4th of July and are unable to represent the Celebration as Miss 4th of July at any appearances, your 1st Runner-up will assume your position for that event. Queen Contestants, if chosen as Covington 4th of July 1st Runner-up or 2nd Runner-up and the Queen is unable to fulfill her duties, you will assume the position and responsibilities for the event per the Celebration Group. Any Queen, 1st Runner up or 2nd Runner up in any category will be ineligible to participate in any drawings. Entry forms must be filled out on the Celebration Website, www.covingtonfourthofjuly.org. The $20 fee must be received by entry deadline. Any Contestant who has not paid the entry fee by deadline will not be allowed to compete in competition. The entry fee will include all practices, pageant experience, pageant T-shirt and 1 regular wristband good for 1 night’s riding at the Covington 4th of July Celebration midway not to be used on July 4th. Mail all payments to Covington Celebration Group 2325 S. Stringtown Rd Covington IN 47932. The pageants are conducted by the Covington Fourth of July Celebration Group and the pageant directors Dottie Pettit and Mariah Kagels. The selection of award recipients is the sole discretion of the judges for the pageants. Any and all rights governing the pageants are under the sole discretion of the Covington Fourth of July Celebration Group. If for any reason you are unable to meet or follow the above guidelines, it is the power of the Celebration Group to remove your title and position. By submitting entry from below is to acknowledge I have read, understand, and agree to the above rules, requirements and procedures.
